Social Skills
Social skills group are developed by a child and youth counsellor is designed to help children and teens develop and enhance their interpersonal abilities in a supportive, structured environment. The group is tailored to the individual interests and needs of its participants, ensuring that the activities and discussions are engaging and relevant. The sessions focus on key social skills such as cooperation, taking turns, and problem-solving. Through role-playing, games, and guided conversations, the group helps participants practice and strengthen these skills in real-life scenarios, improving their ability to navigate social situations with confidence and empathy.

Life Skills
The group is developed for indivduals to accomplish individualized goals. The goals are to develop life skills in a structured setting where participants work on personal goals related to independence and self-sufficiency. Each individual has specific, tailored objectives, but they work in a group environment for support, motivation, and sharing experiences.
Key areas of focus might include:
Personal Hygiene: Teaching proper self-care routines, such as bathing, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness.
Community Travel: Developing the skills needed to navigate public transportation, understand schedules, and feel confident travelling in the community.
Recreation Schedules: Helping individuals plan leisure activities, develop hobbies, or use free time constructively.
Workplace Skills: Teaching essential job-related skills, such as punctuality, communication, teamwork, and time management.
The group format encourages learning through interaction, role-playing, peer support, and collaborative problem-solving, while still allowing for personalized attention to each participant's needs.

Self Regulation
This group, led by a child and youth counsellor, is designed to help children and youth develop self-regulation skills through engaging activities like play, art, music, and nature. Using the "Zones of Regulation" framework, participants learn to identify and label their emotions, recognize triggers that affect their moods, and practice healthy coping strategies. Through role modelling, teaching, and hands-on experiences, the group encourages emotional awareness and regulation in a supportive, creative environment. Children and youth are empowered to understand their feelings, manage their reactions, and build resilience for challenging situations.
